Watch out of the box - Eric Narjes

Audiovisual

I prefer to work in an observational and documentary way — unobtrusive, from a distance, yet close to reality.

When a journalistic, report-style approach is required, I work just as confidently: immersed, accompanying, and responsive.

I use staged formats where content needs to be clear and accessible — as a space for creativity, design, and storytelling.

I consciously use artificial intelligence as a tool to independently realize visual and storytelling processes, without losing the connection to reality.

My aim is a long-term collaboration on an audiovisual project that combines critical thinking and subtle humor.

Preferably in a small team.

Born in 1980 in Barcelona and raised in an international environment, I learned early on to view things from different perspectives. This mindset continues to shape my work and my approach to storytelling today.

My studies in audiovisual communication laid the foundation for working with image, sound, and content. During this time, I gained practical experience across various formats — from contributions to a children’s TV program and work at a news agency to involvement in international film productions.

After early positions in film, advertising, and photography, I moved to Berlin in 2009. There, I deepened my understanding of the television production world and accompanied the entire process in a production company — from the initial idea to broadcast-ready delivery.

Since 2013, I have been working freelance: first as a camera assistant and sound recordist, later as an ENG cameraman, and since 2021 as a live and streaming cameraman. During this time, I have worked in almost all areas of German television, as well as in industrial, event, and online productions.

Today, I combine this experience with AI-assisted image and idea development. Artificial intelligence is a tool that simplifies production processes and brings the focus back to what truly matters: creativity.

How I work. Observational, design-driven, and with a creative eye.
